Analysis of materials already collected such as family trees, letters, documents, photos, etc.

Creation/revision/maintenance of a handwritten or online family tree (such as Ancestry.com) and/or GEDCOM formatted file.

Identification of genealogical records, documenting relationships, or confirming ancestral origins.

Research about U.S. or ancestral communities to provide family history context and background.

Interviewing relatives or landsman.

Translation and interpretation of Jewish gravestones.

Reviewing DNA matches and their public family trees, and contacting them for shared family data.

Writing narrative and/or creating presentation materials for a family reunion or special occasion.

Book development.

Managing sub-contractors for record retrieval, translation, wall chart generation, or book production.

One-on-one consultation, coaching, or review of your work to guide research.

Special projects.
Professional Rate: $200 per hour.
New Client Packages:
50-hour research &/or project management package for $6000 ($120 per hour).
25-hour research, project management, &/or basic build-a-tree package for $3500 ($140 per hour).
10-hour consulting, coaching, or review & recommendation package for $1800 ($180 per hour).
Process:

Develop a focused research objective. You may have several objectives but only one question will be researched at a time.

Provide all information and previous research you have on this subject.

You will receive a basic contract that specifies the research objective and the number of hours of work you authorize.

A signed project agreement and advance payment in full, payable by check or Zelle transfer, are required to begin work.

Additional expenses (as needed) are billed at cost (without markup) and might include DNA testing, subcontractors, translators, document retrieval fees, copies, postage, repository research fees, foreign transaction fees, book production expenses, parking, and tolls.

Unless otherwise specified, you will receive a report with copies or links to all documentation as well as recommendations for further research.
